Pricing & commitment
Yes — that's the point. KNYTEC runs on Claude, the same frontier AI used by Fortune 500 engineering teams. It reads your plans, measures the takeoff, builds the estimate, and formats the proposal — which is why one back-office can do the work of 3–4 estimators. A human (us) reviews what goes out, and everything is submitted under your name. You don't need to touch any of the technology — you just approve bids from your phone.
Then the Bid Engine isn't the right fit yet — and we'll tell you that on the call instead of taking your money. The Bid Engine multiplies an operation that's already bidding: you get invites, you know roughly how many you win per ten, and you have pricing history we can estimate from. If you're not there yet, start with Launchpad to get your digital foundation right, build some bid flow, and come back — we'll be here.
On the KNYTEC Bid Engine you pay $0 upfront and a small % of the contract value only when you win a job — collected after you're paid. No retainer, no subscription. Launchpad ($2,000 one-time) and Custom Automation (scoped per client) are separate options. If you don't win, we don't get paid.
It depends which piece. Your hardware is yours outright — the KNYTEC mini PC, and on Launchpad or Custom Automation your domain, website, email, and the tools wired to your own Claude account belong to your business permanently. The Bid Engine bid engine is the exception: it's KNYTEC-managed. We operate those bid automations and workflows for you and reserve the right to pause or stop them — that's what “managed” means, and it's why you pay only when you win. Your data and accounts stay yours either way; the managed pipeline is the part we run.
Anything set up on your own hardware keeps running — the tools wired to your Claude account don't depend on our servers. The Bid Engine is a managed service, so that piece would wind down with us, but you're never locked out of your own data, accounts, or hardware.
No. We take one specialty subcontractor per trade, per region. Once you're our concrete (or HVAC, or roofing) partner in your market, we won't take another sub in the same trade and area. Your pricing, your edge, and your bids stay yours — never a conflict of interest.
Fit & trades
Specialty subcontractors getting commercial bid invites — concrete & masonry, aluminum & glass, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, framing, drywall, tile, and painting. If you're an owner-operator (1–20 crew) bidding jobs $5,000 and up, you're the fit. We don't work with general contractors, residential remodelers, or jobs under $5,000.
No. You need to understand your own business, which you already do. We handle the technical build. On-demand mode works in plain English — you describe what you need and the system does it. Automatic mode fires in the background.
Usually yes. Most trades businesses run some combination of a CRM, scheduling tool, email, and a job management platform. We connect to what you already have — QuickBooks, Bluebeam, and more. The free consultation is where we map out what you're running and where the gaps are.
The build & support
It is the operational brain of your business — it runs the automations, hosts the AI, and connects your tools together. It sits on your network and runs continuously, processing triggers and firing workflows like a silent employee that never misses a follow-up.
Custom Automation Mode is about 1 week. Autopilot Mode depends on scope and typically takes 1–4 weeks.
Both scopes include a 60-day post-launch support window — we check in, tune anything that needs adjustment, and make sure everything runs the way we built it. After that, an optional monthly support plan keeps us available for changes and ongoing tuning. Entirely optional.
Launchpad is the entry tier for businesses that need to look credible fast. For $2,000 you get a KNYTEC mini PC pre-configured with Claude, a custom domain, business email, a 1-page branded website live within 24 hours, and a contact form routing to your inbox. You own all of it. KNYTEC Care ($50/month) optionally covers ongoing site updates.
Yes. KNYTEC is Claude-forward — every build puts a real Claude Personal AI assistant on a KNYTEC mini PC you own. On Launchpad it manages your branded website; on Custom Automation it runs your operation through your own Claude account. The assistant — and the machine it runs on — are yours.
